Garlic Chili Pasta with Roasted Cauliflower

Pasta is great. Cauliflower is great. Put them together and you get, you guessed it: greatness. This isn’t my own recipe but I tweaked it to what I had on hand. The original recipe can be found here.

What You’ll Need:

1. Pasta. In the recipe it calls for spaghetti but of course I didn’t have that.

2. Cauliflower. 

3. Garlic. 

4. Olive oil.

5. Chili flakes. 

6. Chicken. (optional)

7. Pepperjack cheese. (optional)

8. Vegetable broth. (optional)

Let’s get started.

Step 1. Preheat the oven to 450°.

Step 2. Mix the cauliflower with olive oil, garlic and chili flakes.



Step 3. Put the cauliflower into the oven, on a shallow baking sheet, for ten minutes or until golden brown.



Step 4. Boil the pasta. I took the original recipes’ advice in adding vegetable broth to the boiling water but didn’t notice much of a difference so do what you will.

Step 5. Drain the pasta. Once the pan is empty, put olive oil, garlic, and chili flakes in to simmer. Mix in pasta.


Step 6. Add chicken if you so choose. I also added pepper jack cheese because why not.


Step 7. Eat up.
